VideoHow Not to Fish - Engaging? or Frustrated?Mar 3, '08 11:50 PM
for everyone
Discipleship is very similar to fishing. They catch fish, we catch people.

Sometimes when we fish for men and it seems like its such a difficult task.

But patience is a key virtue in winning people to Christ.

A pastor was sharing to me before, "When you are not getting the results you desire in witnessing for Christ - DO NOT MUDDY THE FISHING HOLE"

I sometimes get frustrated when you reach out to people and yet they feel they don't need Christ. Its like I want to tell them --- &%#$^@!!!! Grrrr...!!!!

Sometime I am tempted to get "pikon" with these people. (Ika nga ng assumptionista kong friend) 'I am getting so pinkon na ha..."

Don't be.

I've learned from an Indian friend - "Be patience at all times" (Verbatim) If people can't pay... He just says, "Balik lang ako - kaibigan - Walang problema... Bukas pwede pa rin bayad... doble lang. Pero pwede pa rin."

Let's learn from people and their advices.

“All human wisdom is summed up in two words - wait and hope”

the video obviously is not the right way to fish ....ha ha ha.... Fishing using the old fashion way with a fishing pole is the most patience trying kind (a waiting game) but best way for fishing men for Christ. :-)

Hi Ptr Bernard,
Miss ko na rin kyong lahat. SGMs here are too formal, members are too discreet and all Inglesiros, d-makabasag pinggan at minimal ang bungisngisan. But I'm glad, we're part of a SG here. People are very warm and interesting to get to know with.

About fish, ano ba yung Trout at Sea Bass? Upak lang ako ng upak kahit d ko alam ang tawag, hehe. I dont eat Hito or Dalag (alin ba dun ang Catfish?) even before time, they look like snake to me than fish. But Tilapia and GG are one of my favorites too.
Tooteloo.
