My Vision

What's Mr. Universe, US military Bomb expert and I Have In Common?

Nothing. Just this picture.

One day, whether in this life of the life to come... I will have this kind of body.

Actually, pareho lang naman kami ng body mass eh. Pero, yung akin mas flexible lang.

During our staff meeting one time we were asked "What's your vision?" I said, "One day I will be a hunk".

So I looked for a picture to be my vision of my future and I found this.

On my right is Mr. Universe, Ringo Borlane. Abs nya parang Gardenia Pandesal. Solid. Parang dancer. (Solid dancer... get it????)

And on my left Marcus Barrett , a US military expert on Bomb disposal. He's the bomb.

Anyway, this is a picture of the future. Hope in the seeable

Ariel, myself and Christine have been in prayer over the past 6 months for the quick recovery of our mom.

She has an enlargement of the heart due to a blockage in one of her major arteries.

She has also been diagnosed with Parkinson disease which makes it really hard for to move around.

She is a very patient person, but has low tolerance of pain. She hates going to hospital more so under going operation.

Di Pagod, Pero Pudpud!

For the first time, I was able to beat my fears about going to the 'ends of the earth'... Pagudpud is located at the very tip of the northern part of the Philippines.

We drove 1415.4 kms. from house and back.
Over 300 liters of gas and tons of mineral water and juice to keep me awake during the journey.

From La Union, to Vigan, to Laoag, to Pagudpod, to Blue Lagoon, Back to Paoay, to Batac, to Vigan again, then to Naguilian, to Baguio, to Dagupan --- then Back to Manila!!!

We saw lots of things.... Marcos body, Fort Ilocandia, Wind mills, lots of Beaches, Sandless Beach, John Hay, Vigan's longanisa, Dagupan's fresh bangus, San Carlos' Mangoes, and a lot more....

No Complaints!
No Regrets!

How Not to Fish - Engaging? or Frustrated?

Discipleship is very similar to fishing. They catch fish, we catch people.

Sometimes when we fish for men and it seems like its such a difficult task.

But patience is a key virtue in winning people to Christ.

A pastor was sharing to me before, "When you are not getting the results you desire in witnessing for Christ - DO NOT MUDDY THE FISHING HOLE"

I sometimes get frustrated when you reach out to people and yet they feel they don't need Christ. Its like I want to tell them --- &%#$^@!!!! Grrrr...!!!!

Sometime I am tempted to get "pikon" with these people. (Ika nga ng assumptionista kong friend) 'I am getting so pinkon na ha..."

Don't be.

I've learned from an Indian friend - "Be patience at all times" (Verbatim) If people can't pay... He just says, "Balik lang ako - kaibigan - Walang problema... Bukas pwede pa rin bayad... doble lang. Pero pwede pa rin."

Let's learn from people and their advices.

“All human wisdom is summed up in two words - wait and h...

It has been a great journey.

Through the years, we have struggled (but overcame), innovated, researched ideas on how to better homeschool our kids and not burn out.

You too can be a successful homeschooler.

If you feel like its hard, dark and difficult - maybe its time to see the other side you have never seen.

I like what Jesus said: "Nothing is impossible to those who believe." Mt 17:20 (Have faith)

Adidas copied it too: "NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE"

Here is a clip on homeschooling.
Gabe and Happy Slip Model

Doing crazy things for my family is what I always wished to do. Our long term memory can only retrieve those file with outstanding images and experiences. Last week I was able to file one with my daughter Gabe.

I had a date day with my daughter Gabe and she wanted to go and meet in person Ms. Happy Slip. I didn't know she will be in Manila. But of course my kids know what's up in city.

Happy slip maker Christine Gambito was here last week, sponsored by Dept. of Tourism and Yehey Phils. It was a blast. Gabrielle was so excited to see her. She was Number 1 in the line for photo session.

Gabe met her. She wasn't shy at all. She talked to her, embraced her, had her sign a photo for herself, her sister and mom.

I really enjoyed spending this date with my daughter. It seemed trivial, but to her it was BIG. It communicated to her - "I like what you like". Dads can be cool too. (Like fall in line to wait for a signature and photo????)

I did this crazy thing because...

How Vision Starts
